Enjoying a night out Downtown
When my husband and I want a nice dinner out, we enjoy heading downtown. Our favorite locations are Hugo’s Cellar in the basement of Four Queens, Oscar’s at the Plaza and Andiamo at The D.
Hugo’s Cellar has the fun charm of going back in time. Roses for the ladies in the party, a table side salad cart (my husband loves this, but the value is lost on me) and a sommelier with great suggestions for a bottle of wine.
Oscar’s has a view of Fremont Street. It is an obstructed view, but it has been made to look better the last couple of years. The steak is tender and delicious! The bar is a fun place to grab a couple of drinks and an appetizer.
Andiamo Steakhouse has delicious Italian dishes! Dining also comes with a chance to see the Las Vegas Golden Knights during the hockey season. We sat near them after their inaugural season.
With a new casino, comes new food opportunities. My husband and I decided to give Barry’s Downtown Prime a try. The steaks were good, but the sides average. The price did not match the quality or service. The décor was fun and the drinks were great. My Mai Tai was delicious!
Video Poker Fun
I am learning the strategy for Deuces Wild. It is the game I enjoy playing when we gamble together. It is fun when I am dealt four deuces, but there is a powerful feeling when only one deuce was held. Here are pictures of the four deuces I have caught so far! If all goes well, more pictures will be added soon.
