Everyday life in Las Vegas is lizards walking up walls and running by during an evening walk. Pigeons flying off with full bags of chips at the pool. They mock the pigeon strips and chicken wire designed to keep them away. Lots are not large. Concrete block walls separate backyards. When the A/C went out, a crane was required to lift the old unit out and bring the new unit over the wall.

Las Vegas is an everyday crazy place, I love to call home!

2021 COVID Quarantine Snow Day

Las Vegas is not known for snow, but it looks pretty amazing with a dusting (or more)! Every few years we get enough snow to make us stop and watch it fall. If we are lucky, we can even throw a snow ball or build a snowman. There is just something cool about seeing palm trees and desert succulents with a layer of snow.

The online classes during the pandemic allowed my daughter a chance to play in the snow in January 2021. There was not much snow. The streets were clear, just wet. The snow for the snowman she built came from the top of the garbage and recycling bins waiting at the street.
