Unless friends are visiting, we do not visit the Las Vegas Strip much. Time on the strip is mostly working, taking friends site-seeing, hanging out at the Strat (for the view or a comedy show) and the occasional stay-cation.

Our favorite Strip casino is definitely The Strat.

We came to Las Vegas for the first time to celebrate our first anniversary. During that trip we rode the High Roller rollercoaster and the Big Shot. Since then, the rollercoaster was replaced by the Insanity, X-Scream and the Sky Jump. Big Shot still remains.

The Sky Jump is an 855-foot zipline from the 108th floor to a platform above the valet entrance. My husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary by jumping off! He has jumped a second time. I feel like once is enough.

We love taking guests to the top for the view. Downtown and the Strip glow brilliantly at night. And if any one is up for a ride or a jump, they will not go alone!

Dinner at the Top of the World steakhouse comes with an amazing view. The restaurant slowly revolves, 360 degrees every 80 minutes, as you dine. Sometimes you can even see someone go by on the Sky Jump while you are eating!

The LA Comedy Club is one of our favorite date night outings. Drinks and laughs make for a great time!

Catching a hockey game on the Strip

T-Mobile Area is a fun place to catch a hockey game. Home games include Las Vegas show flair. In 2021, donating blood on 1 October came with surprise tickets to a Vegas Golden Knights preseason game. In January 2022, I filled in for a quarantined friend to watch the Knights host Marc-AndrĂ© Fleury’s return to Vegas.
