Visits from friends are welcome for the company. They are also a great excuse to play tourist and sight-see! Our visits range from the Las Vegas Strip, Fremont Street downtown and local attractions.
Hoover Dam is always impressive
Hoover Dam is an engineering marvel! The tour inside is fun for those that enjoy the mechanics of how it all works. The visitor center has lots of interesting material to read and presentations to watch. It is also fun to just walk across and admire from the outside. The view from above is even more impressive!
Mind Bending Fun at Area 15
Area 15 was the perfect mental health outing! The event center is free to enter with the exhibits costing extra. In March 2021, I met a friend there to explore Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart. As we entered the Omega Mart, the shelves were filled with silly items and punny labels. The staff encouraged us to touch and explore.
So we went exploring! These explorations led to hidden areas, de-motivational posters and more puzzles to solve. We realized half-way through our explorations that there was even more to complete. So it looks like I will be going back! This optical illusion art installation had us laughing at absurdities and looking for patterns!
A second visit during Thanksgiving break was enjoyed with my sister and her family. My nephew and brother-in-law really enjoyed the interactive storyline.
Christmas Eve was spent with my daughter and her friend at the Nightmare Before Christmas Immersion Experience.

Miniature golf
Rio Hotel & Casino has a KISS themed miniature golf course. It was a fun family outing in December 2021. Black lights shine on KISS themed décor while KISS songs play overhead.
Allegiant Stadium
Not a fan of how this stadium came about, but it is a pretty-looking giant Roomba. Hopefully, its paint job holds up better over the years than the Luxor in the summer sun.
