I enjoy having a window seat while flying. Watching the landscape from above makes the world seem like a detailed model. Every take-off from Las Vegas has be looking for familiar buildings and landmarks. Once in the air, the flight to Atlanta was a cloudy one.
Drinking to good times with friends
My first night after landing, drinks were enjoyed at Atlanta Hard Cider. With a back to school supply drive drink special, we enjoyed a round of $1 ciders. The staff was helpful and friendly. With so many great flavors, of course, we stayed for a few more rounds.
After my sister’s arrival, we spent some girls time on the Marietta Square. Lunch was shared at a variety of restaurants at the Marietta Square Market. Throughout the day. we shared conversation, laughs and drinks. It was fun catching up in person. Additional stops included Two Birds Taphouse and The Third Door, which had converted campers as available seating. The fans and cold drinks helped ward off the Georgia summer heat.
Celebrating my birthday in Georgia
My birthday was celebrated with good food, drinks and games at Hudson Grille in Kennesaw. Awesome family and friends We played card games after eating, while others played on the pool tables. I even got an awesome fishy cookie cake to celebrate!
Celebrating graduation for others
The timing of spending my birthday weekend in Georgia was coincidental this year. The real reason for the timing of my trip was to celebrate my bestie’s daughter’s graduation and birthday. It was fun being included in such a fun Minecraft-themed celebration. The decorations she made for her own party were pretty amazing.
Play time with my niece and nephew
Scheduling conflicts did not allow me to visit with everyone I wanted to see. However, I was able to enjoy bowling and arcade games with one of my nieces and nephews. Bowling was fun, but my shoulder proved to be unreliable. Fun was still had by all and bumpers may have been used. The arcade games were a blast. We enjoyed a couple games of Twister and giant Hungry Hippos together. My nephew enjoyed playing the Star Wars Battle Pod game.
Flying home to Las Vegas
The flight home was on-time leaving, but delayed landing. The rerouting to avoid storms added almost a half hour to the flight. However, I got some great pictures and cool video during the flight home. Did I mention how much I love window seats on when flying?
